Chuck was born the youngest of five children in Antioch California. His family moved to Davis in 1962 where he went through high school. He attended college at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, studying HVAC and refrigeration engineering. He moved to Seattle in 1972 and spent 35 years in the HVAC industry.
In 2003, Chuck developed a form of macular degeneration which forced him to resign from his partnership. Working with services for the blind, he was asked what he wanted to do for a second career, to which he replied “I want to be an airline pilot. After the surprise wore off and his case worker realized that he was joking, he said that he wanted to look into massage therapy, reasoning that even if his sight continued to decline, it was something that he could still do. When asked how he likes massage therapy he says, “I love it. I would do it for free if I could afford it.”
Chuck is married to the woman of his dreams and lives on 5 acres outside of Monroe. His interests include cooking, singing, playing Bluegrass guitar and bass, as well as caring for the family pets.
